EL PASO - Tomorrow, Friday, March 16, Senator Shapleigh will hold a press conference on S.B. 1573, the 21st Century College Success Act. The bill includes:
- Implementing a three-year moratorium on tuition and fee increases,
- Creating a five percent cap on any increase after the three-year period, and
- Requiring public universities to develop a uniform, online degree and finance plan allowing students to create a road map to graduation.
The press conference will be held at 10:00 a.m. at Leech Grove on the University of Texas-El Paso Campus.
