SENATOR SHAPLEIGH TO ATTEND "GIFT TO THE RIVER" CLEAN UP

On Saturday, October 27, 2007 at 7:00 a.m., Senator Shapleigh will participate in a environmental clean up sponsored by Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ), Keep El Paso Beautiful, CEMEX, El Paso Electric and the City of El Paso.

EL PASO – On Saturday, October 27, 2007 at 7:00 a.m., Senator Shapleigh will participate in a environmental clean up sponsored by Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ), Keep El Paso Beautiful, CEMEX, El Paso Electric and the City of El Paso.
Due to the closing the of transfer stations, the residents are simply disposing of trucks, couches, and trash right behind their houses. The clear message that we will not tolerate dumping, and we will prosecute if there is continued dumping, we will have a clean Westway area..
Join us this Saturday at the CEMEX West Quarry 8611 Kings Way. Trash bags, gloves , water, pizza and soda will be provided.
