Standing Up For What You Believe

Great leaders stand up for what they believe.

Here is my friend Mrs. Calderon. She’s 78. Earlier this year, she marched with us from Sunland Park New Mexico all the way to San Jacinto Plaza -- almost 11 miles.

She just wanted people to know where she stands on immigration.

“Grandmothers who have been in the US for many years, who have children who are American citizens (along with grandchildren) should not be made into felons and then deported,” she said.

She’s one of my ‘sheros’!

Keep the faith,
Tu Senador
