The National Association of Installation Developers (NAID) is a necessary ally for communities facing BRAC and looking beyond BRAC 2005. For almost 25 years, NAID has been a resource for any community or organization involved in the economic development, conversion, and reuse of military real estate. NAID offers expertise, tools and support to communities looking to make an active military installation more valuable in preparation for BRAC. Additionally, applying lessons learned from past base closure and realignment rounds, such as housing and utility privatization, NAID offers support to communities facing military changes.

Currently, NAID is organizing its next conference for community leaders and installation developers to interact with experts and to garner useful tools for looking at BRAC 2005 and beyond. The NAID Winter Forum will be held in Tempe, Arizona January 30 and February 1, 2005. Focusing on the key resources necessary to defense communities, the Winter Conference will offer seminars on planning and redevelopment, community/installation collaboration, and advanced redevelopment.
